place of existence of Asiatic lions, that thrills every naturist, we did safari
for 3rd time the place in june 2016,
Now a days the safari booking is 100% online, you have to book it through www.girlions.com , (safari booking 1000 Rs, jeep and guide charges 1500 and camera charges 200 Rs), many unofficial sights are there they offer safari at the rate of 4000 per jeep, some time they share the jip with other travelers too.

I’m along with my
family reached in Junagarh by train at 4pm, where we went to local bus stand,
all private and public vehicles are available from the bus stand only, we
booked a auto (hanif bhai) for 600 Rs for sasan, you can avail taxi too, it
will cost of Rs 2000, it was 2hrs journey from junagarh to sasan gir & on
the way we found lots of spotted deer.
Next day morning safari starts at 6:30am, Dharmesh bhai our guide, the only guidance we had from him the chances of spotting a lion is high before sun rise, once the sun was up lions hides under bushes, we have spotted a big fully grown adult lion on track no-6 from a hand shaking distance, this is our only achievement, else there is a total disappointment in this safari, the jungle track is of 45km was completed by 1hr45 mins (actual safari time is 3hrs), they drive at the maximum speed in the jungle, do not bother to spot animals, not explained a single line about the jungle, where I did ask for photography only those point they stop for 1-2 mins, actually guides don’t love jungle, they work in a very mechanical way, their intension to finish the track as soon as possible, I had asked repeated time to drive slow, and spot some birds, but our guide Dharmesh bhai busy to talk with driver for their family matters, where to get pure milk etc etc, when I complained to the forest officer for take us out before 1hr of stipulated time, they show me the register for timing out of all the vehicles, so once you go inside the jungle don’t trust on the guide, they had no eyes to show you any wild life, either they claim extra money (we had not faced the money issue, but my fried on the 5th track faced it on the same day) or take you a hurricane ride in the jungle, in my suggestion ask your guide to spend 3hrs in jungle, once you spot the lion, stop the jeep inside the jungle and enjoy the nature.

safari will be loosed its attraction in sasan, people attract as this is the
unique place for Asiatic lions, else there is no second opinion.
